07 . 09 . 14The best visitors to Paris are those who ask if I need anything from the US before the leave. The very best visitor was my friend and former client Stacey who brought a bag full of American magazines. One of them included was
. It’s a compilation of “the best of , , House & Garden, and more!”
I’ve seen many of those featured before but it’s nice to have them all in one place. I especially liked rereading about Marella Agnelli’s Marrakech retreat Ain Kassimou. It was about 10 years ago that she called on landscape designer to help tame the overgrown gardens into one of the most unique projects of his career. I also didn’t realize that Moroccan born interior designer was responsible for the interiors.
I’m sure we’ll be able to see even more about the house and it’s chic owner when the book
is published this October.
Architect Bill Willis created the pool pavilion while Madison Cox created the lake full of water lilies.
The terrace of the master bedroom suite features a split bamboo pergola and bougainvillea.
Madison Cox designed the pool surrounded by citrus trees with painted white trunks.
The interiors by Alberto Pinto almost have a Marrakech meets English country manor house feeling.
Garden photos by Eric Bowman and Oberto Gili.
